MR BLACK'S CONCOCTION Rich, persistent and food for thought… Mr Black's Concoction Barossa Valley Shiraz Selected from some of the sections of Darren's vineyards that ripen late, these grapes produce a wine that is lush and drinkable showing ripe Barossa Shiraz characters and exhibiting intense middle pal ate fruit sweetness. Mr Black's Concoction Shiraz Viognier The Shiraz fruit for this wine is selected quite late in the growing season to coincide with the picking of a small parcel of Viognier with which it is co-fermented. While being quite ripe the Viognier gives the wine a slightly perfumed aroma which carries through to the palate.
Mr Black's Concoction Grenache Shiraz Mourvédre This GSM blend shows intense berry fruit characters typical of ripe fruit picked at high baume. Oak does not play a dominant role in this wine letting the fruit show its full potential. The wine is of great intensity, exhibiting spicy, full flavours with balance and structure. Mr Black's Concoction VP Shiraz This fortified wine is only made occasionally when the fruit is 'just right'. Very ripe grapes were partially fermented and fortified with Brandy spirit at approximately 6 baume before being left to quietly mature in oak for 24 months to produce this stunning wine.
SMALL GULLY Marananga Shiraz The 'Marananga Shiraz'is a blend of premium vineyards all situated at the northern end of the Barossa Valley. The uniqueness of the blend of these particular vineyards has lead to an exceptional Shiraz with ripeness, balanced acidity and fine tannins. G Block Barossa Valley Shiraz Made in years where the fruit from this block is at its best, this single vineyard wine shows intense blackberry fruit with good acid balance and long fine tannins. This wine is limited to a selection of the best barrels for each vintage.
THE FORMULA Excitingly different, gets your heart racing… The Formula Robert's Shiraz This is a big, full flavoured Shiraz produced from 40 year old vines, grown on the Adelaide Plains. Well balanced and textured, this wine shows savoury and chocolate notes with soft tannins and a structured palate. The Formula Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz Produced from Clare Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Barossa Valley Shiraz this blend is a well balanced, full flavoured wine. Herbaceous Cabernet notes together with full berry Shiraz characters compliment each other producing a blend with elegance and structure. The Formula Helena's Blend Semillon Chardonnay Sourced from the Barossa Valley, this Semillon Chardonnay blend displays delicate fruit aromas and fine varietal flavours enhanced by some nuttiness from the Chardonnay and a lifted Semillon aroma.
